Being on bedrest is not easy; it can get very boring very fast. Here are some ideas for keeping yourself entertained when you can’t get out of bed.
1. Start a blog. There are free sites like Blogger where you can also earn money on your blog. Or write on a site like Hubpages where you can earn money without even setting up a website!
2. Shop online. These days, you can even shop for your groceries online. Or you can just order far too many baby clothes.
3. Start a pregnancy diary. It’ll make for a beautiful gift to give your child when they’re older.
4. Work online. Start working as a freelancer on a site like oDesk or be a social media manager.
5. Read a book. You’ve probably got a stack you’ve been meaning to open.
6. Start a scrapbook. You can put in pregnancy photos and leave spaces for when baby is born.
7. Start being arty. Draw every object in your room, or paint them.
8. Start planning. Birthdays, christmas’, your next holiday.
9. Phone all your friends. Or text them. Especially the ones you haven’t talked to in awhile!
10. Update your Will. Chances are you don’t have one or it’s out of date.
11. Catch up on TV. Start watching a new TV series.
12. Clean up your emails. You’ve probably got spam still sitting there from 2005.
13. Learn Something New. Do an online correspondence course or teach yourself a new skill like knitting or crochet.
14. Take some Photos. Photograph yourself then have fun with different graphic editing tools.
15. Writer a Letter or Postcard. Is there an old aunt or granny with no internet? Send them a handwritten letter!
16. Join some Survey sites. There are lots to choose from. Just remember to check if they’re legitimate first.
17. Pamper yourself. Paint your nails, brush your hair 100 times.
18. Shoot foam darts at the TV. Or a relative’s picture.
19. Buy a pack of cards and play a card game. Like solitaire.
20. Do a book of crosswords, sodoku or puzzles. Improve your brain!
